This property does NOT include a dedicated parking space and therefore this unit is mainly recommended for people traveling without a car. Due to its location across from the beach, street parking can be very challenging, especially during the summer months, late at night, or on sunny weekends the rest of the year. Most guests arrive via Uber/Lyft. Once you get here there is no need for a car. The beach is just across the street and there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

The space is quite small and compact and is only suitable for 1 or 2 people. (The sofa is a loveseat and not long enough for anyone, including a child, to sleep on.)

For guests with infants, we can supply you with a pack-n-play and high chair upon request. However, keep in mind you will have very little floor space remaining with the pack-n-play set up.

We supply you with up to 2 beach cruiser bicycles for cruising down the boardwalk. Should you need additional bikes or helmets there is a bike rental shop a couple blocks away. (They also rent kid-sized bikes and baby seats if you need those.)

You will have access to a patio and BBQ that is shared with the 5 other units in the complex. The other units are vacation rentals so feel free to say hello and make friends with your fellow travelers if you encounter them!

You have access to a coin operated washer/dryer that is shared by the other 5 units in the complex. Tenant access time is daily after 3 pm or before 10 am.

If you'd rather have your laundry done for you there is a laundromat within walking distance that offers drop-off service at an affordable weight-based fee. You can just drop it off in the morning and they will have it ready and neatly folded for you by the end of the day.

Want a private bonfire on the beach? We can connect you with a service that offers setup and takedown, portable steel fire drum, roasting sticks, hot dogs, and s'mores.

Are you into yoga? There is free beach yoga daily, just a 5 minute walk from the property. No yoga mats are required. Just bring beach towels and water and you are all set. (It's donation based so maybe bring some cash for the instructor. )

Want professional pictures on the beach? What better backdrop than the stunning backdrop of the ocean or bay at sunset! We can help arrange for an affordable local portrait photographer to do a photo session of your family or group on the beach. Let us know in advance if you're interested and we can connect you with the photographer during your stay.

The unit is thoroughly cleaned between each stay. However if you wish for a cleaning and change of linens during your stay we can arrange for the housekeeper to come for an additional charge of the standard cleaning fee. Please give us one day's notice so we can get this scheduled.

We are available 7 am to 10 pm to answer questions during your stay.

Our storefront rental office, Mission Beach Villas, is a mile away as well, so if you need anything feel free to stop by! If you have an early flight, you may stow your luggage at our office so you can go to lunch or hang out on the beach until check-in time. And if you have an afternoon flight on checkout day you may also stow luggage. Just coordinate these details with us and we are happy to accommodate.

Before your stay, we are happy to suggest our favorite restaurants and tourist attractions and will help you get acquainted with the area.

The best thing about the neighborhood is that there is so much within walking distance that you may not need a car. You could just take a taxi from the airport (7 miles away), get dropped off here and you're at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and breakfasts cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 3 miles away.

The location is the best spot in all of Mission Beach. It is on the south side of Santa Clara Place (the only traffic light in North Mission Beach), which means a non commercial area. It is far enough (1 mile) north of the roller coaster area so it's very removed from the tourist noise. It is off of the main boulevard with friendly neighbors and a quiet homey atmosphere.

Recreational opportunities abound. This beach rental is a few minutes walking distance to Santa Clara Point where there are numerous recreation activities and rentals available including: stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sailboats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. There are group classes and private lessons available for all of these activities. What's more, there are free yoga classes each day on the beach and two courts north.

It is equally centered between Belmont Park (the roller coaster area) and Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach, which are both 1 mile away, making this location removed from the tourist noise but yet accessible to the action if that's what you want.

There is a fantastic surf spot at the beach out front for beginners to the advanced surfer, and is great for the spectator as well. There are affordable surf lessons offered daily in the beach right out in front by our friends at Surfari Surf School. And, we can point you to all the best surf spots in San Diego County. We also have two world class board shapers who are neighbors in case you want to get a new surfboard while you are here.

We offer self check-in with access to a digital door lock to make your arrival as easy as possible. Your code will be sent to you as an automated message right at your designated check in time.

Included with the rental is the use of beach cruiser bikes, boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and sand toys for the kids. Plus there is a rental shop just a 3 minute walk away that rents surfboards, wetsuits, stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, etc. They have very affordable rates, plus, after booking with us we give you a 15% discount on all the rentals they have to offer.

Warning: This unit does not offer a designated parking spot. If you are bringing a car, keep in mind that finding a street parking space could be very challenging, especially on weekends and during the summer months, since this unit is across the street from the beach. Other times of year street parking is very doable. If needed, there are two nearby free recreation parking lots a few blocks away at Santa Clara Point or El Carmel Point.

It is positioned in the ♡ of Mission Beach, a gorgeous beach community on a super narrow strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. Walk in either direction (west or east) and you'll encounter pristine white beaches. Both sides have wide boardwalks for bicycle riding or walking. On the bay side you'll enjoy a relaxing sail bay with a calm atmosphere, while on the ocean side you'll enjoy ocean waves for surfing and a lively beach scene. Either way, you'll call it paradise. We simply call it home!

The studio is 350 square feet so it's about the size of an average U.S. hotel room. It features a queen bed, love seat couch, bathroom, and a small fully stocked kitchen. The kitchen includes a stove, refrigerator, microwave, blender, and a coffee maker. We supply you with all the cooking pans, dishes, and utensils you might need. There are the usual kitchen gadgets such as bottle openers and cork screws.

The studio is supplied with a window A/C unit. With the bathroom door open and the bedroom ceiling fan turned on for circulation the A/C should keep the whole place nice and cool.

The television is a Roku TV, which includes live local TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and many other channels. What's more, there is free WiFi and plenty of outlets to keep you plugged in.

The vacation rental comes supplied with all the basics you'd expect at any hotel, like a hair dryer and iron. And don't forget that we even supply you with bikes for cruising down the boardwalk. We think of everything you might need and even stock you with beach towels so you don't need to pack those in your suitcase. Why stay at a hotel when you can stay in the comfort of your own studio in a friendly neighborhood? Vacation like a local.

If you don't bring a car you will be fine. More than half of our guests have come without a car and all have gotten around quite easily. Restaurants, shops, and convenience stores are within walking distance.

It is less than a 10-15 minute walk to Belmont Park where there is a giant roller coaster, rides, restaurants, bars, and shops.

Uber/Lyft options are readily available for local transport at an affordable rate. If you've never used these services before, download the phone app and you may find a discount code for first-time riders online.

Riding bikes along the boardwalk is usually the most scenic way to get around and take in the atmosphere. We provide 15% off for beach cruiser bicycles at a nearby rental shop just 3 blocks away that rents bikes by the hour, day, or the week. They also rent surfboards, wetsuits, stand-up paddle boards, and a lot of other fun beach equipment.

There is also a bus stop a few yards away that travels down Mission Blvd and will take you to Old Town in minutes. At Old Town there is a major transportation hub where you can transfer to any other bus line or transfer to the Trolley (San Diego's metro line) which will take you downtown.

Car Rental vs. Uber - The cost to Uber to downtown is way less expensive than to rent a car and pay an additional $30+ to park, not to mention spend 15+ minutes trying to find that parking spot which usually winds up being a 5-10 minute walk from your downtown destination. Uber usually cost $15 each way and drops you off right at your destination.
