Due to insurance reasons, the person booking must be at least 25 years old to book and must upload a photo of government ID to the host within 24 hours of booking.

Please note that we have occupancy based pricing in our settings. Please select the correct number of people in your group at the time of booking to get the correct pricing for your stay. Keep in mind, if you add more people to your group after booking the rate may adjust slightly. There is an additional charge of $50 per night for each additional person after the initial 6 people. This keeps our rates low and affordable for our average group size for this listing and helps us charge an appropriate fee for the additional linens and utilities used by a larger group size. We love children and want you to know that they are more than welcome as our guests. This means that children of any age, even infants, are counted as guests in your guest count. Please let us know in advance the ages of all children and whether you require a pack and play or anything else.

Want family pictures on the beach? What better backdrop for a group shot than the stunning backdrop of the ocean or bay at sunset! We can connect you with an affordable local portrait photographer to do a photo session of your family on the beach. Let us know in advanced if you're interested.

The beach condo is thoroughly cleaned between each stay. However if you wish for a cleaning and change of linens during your stay we can arrange for the housekeeper to come for an additional charge of the standard cleaning fee. Please give us one day's notice so we can get this scheduled.

Janet & Scott are your hosts. We are a husband and wife team and we live nearby. We own and operate Mission Beach Villas, a highly rated vacation rental management business in San Diego.

We are available 7 am to 10 pm to answer questions during your stay.

Our storefront rental office, Mission Beach Villas, is a couple of blocks away, so if you need anything feel free to stop by! If you have an early flight, you may stow your luggage at our office so you can go to lunch or hang out on the beach until check-in time. And if you have an afternoon flight on checkout day you may also stow luggage. Just coordinate these details with us and we are happy to accommodate. Please note, we charge a small nominal fee for luggage storage.

Before your stay, we are happy to suggest our favorite restaurants, and tourist attractions and will help you get acquainted with the area.

The best thing about the neighborhood is that there is so much within walking distance that you may not need a car. You could just take a taxi from the airport (6 miles away), get dropped off here and you're at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and breakfasts cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 3 miles away.

The location is one of the best spots of all of Mission Beach. It is one block south of Santa Clara Place (the only traffic light in North Mission Beach). It is equally between the roller coaster area (Belmont Park) to the south and the pier in Pacific Beach to the north, both about a mile away. Getting to either is an easy walk or bike ride down the boardwalk.

The home is off of the main boulevard on one of the tiny inner walking courts with a lively beach atmosphere.

Recreational opportunities abound. It is within walking distance to Santa Clara point where there are numerous recreation activities and rentals available including: stand up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sail boats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. There are group classes and private lessons available in all of these activities. What's more there are free yoga classes on the beach each day.

The beach out in front of the unit has excellent waves for surfing for both beginner to advanced surfersl. There are affordable surf lessons offered daily in the beach by our friends at Surfari Surf School. What's more, we can point you to all the best surf spots in San Diego County. And we have two world class board shapers who are neighbors in case you want to get a new surf board while you are here.

We offer self check-in with keyless entry to make your arrival as easy as possible. There are no keys to lose at the beach, just a simple 4 digit code to remember.

The rental comes with a garage for parking that will fit one vehicle. Most mini vans and SUV's will fit as long as they are not raised above standard height. Additional parking is available on the street or in the public parking lot at the end of Santa Clara Place. (Approximately 1 block away.)

You will have full access to this home except for a couple of locked closets.

We have worked out an amazing arrangement with a local shop for our guests. For an additional fee of just $100 per week your whole group (you and your registered guests) will enjoy UNLIMITED access to all the beach equipment named above, including bikes for cruising down the boardwalk. YES, you read that right! Normally you would pay that amount to rent a few bikes for a couple of hours. But you will be able to check out unlimited equipment each day with our special certificate we will provide you. You will pick up the equipment in person at the shop located right across the street, about a 10 second walk from your unit. (Each adult will be required to sign liability waivers and present ID /credit card for security hold at the time of receiving the equipment.)

Getting around is simple. Mission Beach is a thin Peninsula strip of beach with only one street through the middle (Mission Boulevard) and a boardwalk on both the ocean side & bay side. You are located directly in the middle of the peninsula which keeps the beach out front less crowded as public parking in the area is scarce. The beach faces directly west and all the courts are parallel with each other in alphabetic order.

If you don't bring a car you will be fine. Many guests come without one and get around quite easily. Restaurants, shops and convenience stores are within walking distance. It is less than a 10-15 minute walk to Belmont Park where there is a giant roller coaster, rides, restaurants, bars, and shops.

There is a bus stop a few yards away that travels down Mission Blvd and will take you to Old Town in minutes. At Old Town there is a major transportation hub where you can transfer to any other bus line or transfer to the Trolley (San Diego's metro line) which will take you downtown.

Uber/Lyft options are readily available for local transport at an affordable rate. If you've never used this service before download the phone app and you may find a discount code for first-time riders online.
