Will My Car Fit?

All of Mission Beach is tight so this is a great question.

The best way to see if your car fits is to go to your listing page, scroll down to view the amenities and look for the parking icon. It will show/tell you what size vehicle that listing will handle. Please note, the studios do not have parking.

Parking ANYWHERE in Mission Beach will take some parking skills with a 2 point turn at minimum.

All the garages or car port areas throughout Mission Beach are behind the homes in alleyways. The alleys are only 15 feet across which is narrower than most car lengths. Example; my Toyota Venza is longer than 15 feet. Keep in mind you have to make a 90 degree turn into the parking spots that only has 1 to 2 feet buffer on each side, front to back.

Some of our rentals do have dedicated parking spaces but if you're flying here I can't stress enough on NOT renting a car and to use a ride share instead. Anywhere else you go in San Diego is a battle for parking taking 10 to 30 minutes to find parking, will cost you $20 an hour minimum, and you will be 4 to 8 blocks away from your destination with a long walk ahead of you. This includes popular areas like the Zoo, Seaworld, Petco Park, downtown, Old Town, La Jolla, Sunset Cliffs just to name a few destinations.

You will save way more money and time using a ride share vs. renting a car.

Also, all our units are within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shopping and the beach. ...no need for a car!

For those of you driving in from Arizona, Nevada, or California, by all means, please leave all your gear home so you can bring a smaller car if possible.

No need to pack beach towels, bath or kitchen amenities, pack-n-plays, high chairs and stack bikes on your vehicles. We have it already here for you. Eliminating all that gear will not only be a huge relief on you but it allows you to bring a smaller vehicle.

These types of Vehicles will NOT fit in any of our spaces!

If you do bring one of these types of vehicles, parking on the street or the nearby public parking areas are free.

If you insist on driving one of these big rig types, I can recommend these areas for free overnight parking:
San Juan Pl and Mission Blvd are free for public parking. Look for street signs when parking on Mission Blvd.

Both Santa Clara Point and El Carmel Point are nearby and have free overnight parking available as well. Here are the locations on the map for free overnight parking lots nearby.

Santa Clara Point - see map

El Carmel Point - see map

Feel free to comment about your parking experiences. How easy or hard was it and what type of vehicle did/do you have?
