Vacation Rental FAQ’s

  • How do I reserve a vacation home?

    Reserving one of our vacation rentals in San Diego is easy. On the Listings page simply select your dates, the number of guests including yourself, and then "Search". The available properties will show, and “Book Now.” You will receive a rental contract via email, which can be e-signed on a computer, smartphone, or tablet.

    Alternatively from a listing page that you like just select your dates, number of guests, enter your email & name, and "Book Now". 

  • Will my credit card be secure when booking?

    Yes! Your personal and payment information are safe and confidential. You credit card numbers are encrypted when we receive it so not even we see it. 

  • What requirements are needed to make a reservation?

    Must be over 25 to book with us. A photo ID is required. The credit card used must match the guest that is booking. You must read and e-sign a rental agreement that we send you. You must provide the names and ages of everyone in your group that is staying with you. 

  • What are my payment terms?

    If booking is made outside 45 days of Arrival Date, Reservation Down Payment a 50% of Total Cost is required immediately to reserve the dates. The full remainder balance is due at 45 days before arrival. If booking is made within 45 days of Arrival Date, Total Cost is due immediately to reserve the dates.

  • What are the Cancelation/Refund Policies?

    Unless otherwise specified during booking, if a Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, payment will be refunded as follows: 

    1. 100% - if cancelled within 48 hours of booking if 48 hours is more than 7 days out minus a 3% credit card processing fee.

    2. 50% - if cancelled 7 days prior to the Check-in Date minus a 3% credit card processing fee.

    3. 0% - if cancelled within 7 days of the Check-in Date 

    We highly recommend using travel insurance for a full refund anytime if you believe your dates are not certain with you. 

  • How do I check-in to my vacation rental?

    Arrival Info will be emailed to you with a link to our guidebook of directions along with photos, a week prior to arrival assuming full payment and guest info has been received.

  • What time is check-in?

    Check-in time is anytime after 3pm for the 1 & 2 bedrooms and 4pm for the 3 or more bedrooms.

    If you would like to special request an earlier check-in time please coordinate this ASAP and we will let you know if it will work with the housekeeping and/or maintenance schedule. Keep in mind we charge $20/hour for early check-in if it works out and $30/hour if you're asking within 12 hours of checkin. 

  • What time is check-out?

    Check-out time is 10am on most units and 11am on a select few. Your listing will show the times. Late check-out option is available with 48 hour pre-approval and appropriate payment. Appoval for Late check out is only available depending on turnover time, housekeeping and/or maintenance tasks. 

  • Are pets allowed?

    Our vacation homes do not allow pets due to allergy concerns. If a pet is discovered at the property, you will be asked to leave without refund of your remaining days as you will be in violation of the rental Terms.

  • Can I call someone during my stay for questions?

    Mission Beach Villas is here to help before, during, and after your stay. We are easy to reach via text,  the app you used for booking, email or phone throughout your visit! Our office is open Mon thru Fri, 10a-4p and we have staff on-call after hours and weekends for emergencies.

  • What is supplied in the home?

    You'll arrive to find professionally laundered and sanitized high quality linens on ready made beds and sofa beds too. Full supply of shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Bath sets (which include bath towels and hand towels) are also provided, as well as beach towels. All of our vacation rentals will have a fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, bowls, dinner ware and flat ware. Our vacation rentals with luandry machines will have detergent and softner. There will be a full dispensor of dish soap, and a starter kit of paper towels and toilet paper. The starter kit will get you by for a few days until you make it to the store. Our staff is available to stock the home if desired!

  • Does the home come with bikes or other fun things?

    Most of your vacation rentals do come with bikes, bodyboards, beach chairs, beach towels, and sand toys. There's only the exception of a few without bikes due to limited space to keep them. Check your listing under amenities. We also offer a 15% discount for our guests at Cheap-Rentals (bikes, surfboards, wetsuits, SUP's, skateboards ...you name it). 

  • Will my vacation rental have baby supplies?

    Yes! We love kids! Let us know ahead of time and we'll have our housekeepers set you up with a pac-n-play and a high chair. 

  • Is daily housekeeping available?

    While your vacation rental is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for your arrival, should you require a mid-stay or daily housekeeping service, it is available with a 24 hour notice for an additional fee to equal your house cleaning payment. 

  • Will my car fit?
