We love children and want you to know that they are more than welcome as our guests. This means that children of any age, even infants, are counted as guests in your guest count. Please let us know in advance the ages of all children.

Should you want to rent bikes there is a bike rental shop a block away. (They also rent kid-sized bikes and baby seats if you need those too.) We do not supply bike helmets. By law, only minors are required to wear bike helmets.

You have access to a coin operated washer/dryer that is shared by the other 3 units of the building. Tenant access time is daily 7am-10am and 3 pm-10pm.

We can connect you with a service that will set up a private bonfire on the beach. Includes setup and takedown, portable steel fire drum, roasting sticks, hot dogs, and s'mores. A perfect activity while waiting for the nightly summer Sea World fireworks over the bay. Inquire for details.

Want family pictures on the beach? What better backdrop for a group shot than the stunning backdrop of the ocean or bay at sunset! For an extra fee we can arrange for a local portrait photographer to do a photo session of your family on the beach. Let us know in advanced if you're interested and we can make an appointment with the photographer during your stay.

The unit is thoroughly cleaned between each stay. However if you wish for a cleaning and change of linens during your stay we can arrange for the housekeeper to come for an additional charge of the standard cleaning fee. Please give us one day's notice so we can get this scheduled.

There is a security camera located on the shared rooftop terrace. There are also numerous security cameras pointed at the alley by our neighbors.

Janet & Scott are your hosts. We are a husband and wife team and we live nearby. We own and operate Mission Beach Villas, a highly rated vacation rental management business in San Diego.

We are available 7 am to 10 pm to answer questions during your stay.

Our storefront rental office, Mission Beach Villas, is a mile away as well, so if you need anything feel free to stop by! If you have an early flight, you may stow your luggage at our office so you can go to lunch or hang out on the beach until check-in time. And if you have an afternoon flight on checkout day you may also stow luggage. Just coordinate these details with us and we are happy to accommodate.

Before your stay, we are happy to suggest our favorite restaurants and tourist attractions and will help you get acquainted with the area.

The best thing about the neighborhood is that there is so much within walking distance that you really don't need a car. You could just take a taxi from the airport (6 miles away), get dropped off here, and you're at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and breakfasts cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 3 miles away.

- The Heart of Mission Beach -
The location is on the south side of Santa Clara Place (the only traffic light in North Mission Beach). It is equally centered between Belmont Park (the roller coaster area) and Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach.

- Outdoor Activities -
Recreational opportunities abound! It is within walking distance to Santa Clara Point where there are numerous recreation activities and rentals available including: stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sailboats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. There are group classes and private lessons available for all of these activities. What's more, there are free yoga classes on the beach each day at the end of our court.

There is a fantastic surf spot at the beach for beginner to advanced surfers, and is great for spectators as well. There are affordable surf lessons offered daily on the beach by our friends at Surfari Surf School. And, we can point you to all the best surf spots in San Diego County. We also have two world class board shapers who are neighbors in case you want to get a new surfboard while you are here.

We offer self check-in with access to a digital door lock to make your arrival as easy as possible.

There is a spacious rooftop patio that is shared between 4 units. All are vacation rentals so feel free to mingle and make some new friends who are also our guests and fellow travelers.

Guests also have access to the laundry machines which are shared with the other units.

Your parking spot is only meant for up to a mid sized SUV. A large SUV will fit only if you have good parking skills and park tightly to the building on one side to give you and the neighboring vehicle some door wiggle room. Please pull all the way forward.

This cozy apartment in Mission Beach is located steps to the sand. The location really couldn't be better! It is positioned in the heart of Mission Beach, a gorgeous beach community in San Diego. Mission Beach is a super narrow strip of land between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. Walk in either direction (west or east) and you'll encounter pristine white beaches. Both sides have wide boardwalks for bicycle riding or walking. On the bay side you'll enjoy a relaxing sail bay with a calm atmosphere, while on the ocean side you'll enjoy ocean waves for surfing and a lively beach scene. Either way, you'll call it paradise. We simply call it home!

It consists of two small bedrooms. The primary bedroom sleeps two with a king bed. The second bedroom sleeps three in bunk beds - a full size bed on the bottom and a twin size bed on top. The space is 580 square feet.

It has a fully supplied kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee maker. We supply you with all the cooking pans, dishes, and utensils you might need. There are the usual kitchen gadgets such as can openers, bottle openers, and cork screws.

The living room comes complete with a flat screen TV. It is equipped with Roku which includes Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and many other channel options available with your login credentials. We also offer free WiFi and plenty of outlets to keep you plugged in.

The unit comes supplied with the basics you'd expect at any hotel ,like a hair dryer and iron. Plus you have a kitchen, living room,and a patio to enjoy. We think of everything you might need and even stock you with beach towels so you don't need to pack those in your suitcase. Why stay at a hotel when you can stay in the comfort of your own home in a friendly neighborhood? Vacation like a local!

- No car needed -
If you choose not to bring a car you will be totally fine here! Many of our guests come without a car and get around quite easily. The beach is a 2-minute walk away, with restaurants, shops, and convenience stores all within walking distance.

- Parking Provided -
For those who do bring a car we offer a reserved parking space that will fit a midsized SUV. But you'll probably find that you'll park it once and forget about it because nearly everything you need is walking distance or easy to take Uber.

Uber/Lyft options are readily available for local transport at an affordable rate. If you've never used this service before download the phone app and you may find a discount code for first-time riders online.

It is less than a 10-15 minute walk to Belmont Park where there is a giant roller coaster, rides, restaurants, bars, and shops.

- Bicycles -
Riding bikes along the boardwalk is usually the most scenic way to get around and take in the atmosphere. We provide a 15% discount for bikes located at Cheap-Rentals located the end of the court. They rent by the hour, day, or week. They also rent surfboards, wetsuits, stand-up paddle boards, and a lot of other fun beach equipment.

- Bus -
There is also a bus stop a few yards away that travels down Mission Blvd and will take you to Old Town in minutes. At Old Town there is a major transportation hub where you can transfer to any other bus line or transfer to the Trolley (San Diego's metro line) which will take you downtown.
