This property does NOT include a dedicated parking space and therefore this unit is mainly recommended for people traveling without a car and arriving via taxi or Uber/Lyft. Due to its location across from the beach, street parking can be very challenging, especially during the summer months, late at night, or sunny weekends the rest of the year. Once you get here there is no need for a car. The beach is just across the street and there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

We supply a portable A/C unit in the bedroom during the peak summer months (July - Sept). To rapidly cool down the apartment, simply open the windows and screened front door while running the ceiling fans and the place should cool down in minutes with the cool ocean breeze.

SUV's will not fit and will need to park on the street or in a public parking lot. Once you get here there is no need for a car so it's also ideal for people arriving via Uber/Lyft. The beach is just across the street and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

The beach is just across the street and there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. If needed there are two nearby free recreation parking lots a few blocks away at Santa Clara Point or El Carmel Point.

The space is quite small and compact and is only suitable for 1 or 2 people. (The sofa is a loveseat and not long enough for anyone, including a child, to sleep on.)

For guests with infants, we can supply you with a pack-n-play and high chair upon request. However, keep in mind you will have very little floor space remaining with the pack-n-play set up.

We supply you with up to 2 beach cruiser bicycles for cruising down the boardwalk. Should you need additional bikes or helmets there is a bike rental shop a couple blocks away. (They also rent kid-sized bikes and baby seats if you need those.)

The bedroom gets plenty of light with a built in skylight so if you want to sleep in we recommend an eye mask to block out the light and ear plugs so you don't hear the street sweepers in the morning at approx 9 am. (We provide eye masks which you may keep at no extra charge.)

There is a fantastic surf spot at the beach out front for beginners to the advanced surfer and great for the spectator as well. (For those who follow surfing, even Andy Irons stayed in our guest house and surfed in the ocean out front). My husband is an avid surfer and surfs out front daily. He has lived here for over 30 years and knows many of the locals in Mission Beach. He can point you to all the best surf spots in San Diego County. And we have two world class board shapers who live on our court in case you want to get a new surfboard while you are here.

We love this house because the front deck and balcony face South so you have full sun year round without the neighboring homes causing shade. (You'll love it, especially during the winter months because its totally comfortable to sit outside on the patio during the daytime and soak in the sun.)

This beach house is located in the best part of Mission Beach, away from the crowds. It's exactly 1 mile North of the busy area of the Belmont Park roller coaster and 1 mile South of the Pacific Beach Crystal Pier. This home is in the least crowded beach area in all of Mission Beach and Pacific Beach because there are no public parking lots nearby. What's more, the surfing is amazing on the beach directly in front of this property.

Walk just 40 steps and you'll encounter pristine white beaches on a relaxing sail bay....OR in the other direction, walk 45 steps and you're at the beach with great surfing and boogie boarding. Both sides have a nice boardwalk for bicycle riding (2 beach cruisers included), walking, jogging or rollerblading.

Verified ID: For security and insurance reasons when we have a group of individuals staying in a home, we ask for the identity of each adult with a verified ID. Please be aware that the assigned parking spot is VERY small. The parking in back of the house needs to fit two vehicles, one for your unit and one for the long term tenant in the unit on the second floor. If you are renting a car, you will wish to select a compact or subcompact car. If your car is midsize or larger you will need to park on the street and be mindful of street sweeping signs. (In Mission Beach, street sweeping occurs on Mission Blvd on Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Fridays 8-10 am except holidays.)

A small futon is offered which makes into a bed but it is quite firm and not recommended as a comfortable sleeping option. (It might work for kids or teenagers who are easy going about the firmness of a their mattress.)

This ground floor apartment is 540 square feet. There is a queen bed in the bedroom and a small full futon in the living room. We recommend this property for 3 adults or a couple and two small children. (Four adults will be cramped.)

It is nestled in the center of a 6 unit apartment building and is located right on the main boulevard that runs through Mission Beach. Although there is some traffic noise it quickly becomes white noise. (If you're a light sleeper this may not be the right fit.)

This unit faces Mission Blvd that can be road noise sensitive to light sleepers. We do supply a white noise machine in the bedroom to drown it out.

A portable A/C unit is supplied in the bedroom during the hot months (late Jun to early Sep). With the two ceiling fans running, the A/C should help cool the whole apartment. The A/C makes for great "white noise" to drown out any passing noise.

We supply two beach cruiser bikes, beach towels, bodyboards, beach chairs, and beach umbrella. For anything else you need for the beach, there is a rental shop just a 3 minute walk away that rents surfboards, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, etc. They have very affordable rates, plus tell them "Mission Beach Villas" sent you and the rental shop will give you an additional 15% off!

You will have access to a laundry room with a washer/dryer that is shared with the front cottage. On days in which the front cottage has a turnover, the washer/dryer may potentially be used by the housekeeper (between the hours of 10 am -3 pm).

Please note, that the garage is a VERY tight fit for most vehicles and the smaller the car the easier of a time you will have. If the car is a compact to midsize it will usually fit, including compact SUV's like the Honda CR-V. But it it is any longer or taller, (such as a full-size SUV or truck) you will not be able fit in the garage. We recommend unloading your car before parking in the garage because your car doors will not be able to open very widely inside the garage. (We are sorry about the garage size, but Mission Beach has very narrow alleys and narrow lots, making for small garages. Unfortunately, you will find this same problem at most properties you rent here at the beach.)

We can hook you up with a service that will set up a private bonfire on the beach. Includes setup and takedown, portable steel fire drum, roasting sticks, hot dogs, and s'mores. A perfect activity while waiting for the nightly summer Sea World fireworks over the bay. Inquire for details.

Want family pictures on the beach? What better backdrop for a group shot than the stunning backdrop of the ocean or bay at sunset! For an extra fee we can arrange for a local portrait photographer to do a photo session of your family on the beach. Let us know in advanced if you're interested and we can make an appointment with the photographer during your stay.

The unit is thoroughly cleaned between each stay. However if you wish for a cleaning and change of linens during your stay we can arrange for the housekeeper to come for an additional charge of the standard cleaning fee. Please give us one day's notice so we can get this scheduled.

The security camera is located on the shared rooftop terrace. There are also numerous security cameras pointed at the alley by our neighbors.

You will have access to a BBQ and two patio areas that are shared with the 5 other units in the complex. The other units are vacation rentals so feel free to say hello and make friends with your fellow travelers if you encounter them!

This small sized cottage apartment is 400 square feet and is great for 1 or 2 adults. For guests with infants or toddlers, we can supply you with a pack-n-play and high chair upon request.

This unit comes with access to 2 bikes for cruising down the boardwalk. Should you want to rent more bikes, there is a bike rental shop a couple blocks away. (They also rent kid-sized bikes and baby seats if you need those.) We do not supply bike helmets. By law, only minors are required to wear bike helmets. You may bring your own bike helmets or you may rent them at the rental shop.

This condo is located just off the flight path of the San Diego airport that is 4 miles away. You may encounter some air traffic noise with the sliding doors open but it's far enough away to be white noise. The neighborhood itself is very quiet with not much traffic.

Due to insurance reasons, the person booking must be at least 25 years old to book and must upload a photo of government ID (drivers license or passport) to the host within 24 hours of booking. We reserve the right to request the first and last names of all members of the group as well as ID’s prior to supplying door code. Due to local laws, stays of longer than 30 days or longer must sign a rental agreement within 48 hours of booking.

Please note that we have occupancy based pricing in our settings. Please select the correct number of people in your group at the time of booking to get the correct pricing for your stay. Keep in mind, if you add more people to your group after booking the rate may adjust slightly. There is an additional charge of $20 per night for each additional person after the initial 2 people. This keeps our rates low and affordable for our average group size for this listing and helps us charge an appropriate fee for the additional linens and utilities used by a larger group size. We are dog friendly with pet fee ($75/dog) for stays of two weeks or less. Dogs must be well-behaved and current on vaccinations and on flea and tick control. Strictly enforced city ordinances prohibit leaving dogs tied up unattended or outdoors while you are away. Damages caused by dogs will be the responsibility of the guest. Please let us know in advance of all dogs, including size, breed, and age.

Corporate leases and insurance companies that need to relocate their people are welcome on case by case basis. Stays of 30 days or longer will require a signed rental agreement and a background check.

You have access to the resort amenities that are shared by the other units of the Point Loma Tennis Club condominium complex. Loss of keys or key fobs will result in a $150 charge.

We can refer you up to a service that will set up a private bonfire on the beach. Includes set up and take down, portable steel fire drum, roasting sticks, hot dogs, and s'mores. A perfect activity while waiting for the nightly summer Sea World fireworks over the bay. Inquire for details.

Want family pictures on the beach? What better backdrop for a group shot than the stunning backdrop of the ocean or bay at sunset! For an extra fee we can arrange for a local portrait photographer to do a photo session of your family on the beach. Let us know in advanced if you're interested and we can make an appointment with the photographer during your stay.

The unit is thoroughly cleaned between each stay. However if you wish for a cleaning and change of linens during your stay we can arrange for the housekeeper to come for an additional charge of the standard cleaning fee. Please give us one day's notice so we can get this scheduled.

* We reserve the right to request a copy of government ID of all adult guests
* Quiet time is at 9 pm (music off, voices & TV volume down)
* Please do not disturb neighbors

Pacific Beach is THE place to be at in San Diego. There is a lively beach scene as well as plenty of fun bars and restaurants along Garnet Avenue and Mission Blvd. But this cute beach cottage is a total gem because it is set back away from the crowds on a residential street. The neighborhood is safe and secure.

The best thing about the neighborhood is that there is so much within walking distance that you may not need a car. Plus Starbucks is right in your backyard. (Literally 50 feet away!)

You could just take an Uber/Lyft from the airport (5 miles away), get dropped off here and you're at the beach! We have local restaurants, trendy beach bars, excellent coffee spots, and cafes all within a few short blocks. Sea World is just 2 miles away.

Recreational opportunities abound. There are several shops within walking distance that book excursions, or rent beach equipment including: stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sailboats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. Additionally we can connect you with surf lessons, either group classes or private lessons. What's more, there are free yoga classes each day on the beach. Just let us know what you're looking for.

The location is the best spot in all of Mission Beach. It is on the south side of Santa Clara Place (the only traffic light in North Mission Beach), which means a non commercial area. It is far enough (1 mile) north of the roller coaster area so it's very removed from the tourist noise. It is off of the main boulevard with friendly neighbors and a quiet homey atmosphere.

This beach rental is a few minutes walking distance to Santa Clara Point where there are numerous recreation activities and rentals available including: stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, catamarans, sailboats, water ski boats, and even jet packs. There are group classes and private lessons available for all of these activities. What's more, there are free yoga classes each day on the beach and two courts north.

It is equally centered between Belmont Park (the roller coaster area) and Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach, which are both 1 mile away, making this location removed from the tourist noise but yet accessible to the action if that's what you want.
